Student Dormitory

学生寮外観

The Minami-Osawa Campus has a student dormitory on campus (capacity: 234 residents).

The student dormitory is not simply an inexpensive apartment, but a place for personal development based on communal living.

The dormitory is intended to help students from different year levels grow as individuals while developing social skills and a sense of discipline through interactions in shared spaces, such as one common area (utility) for every six residents.

Dormitory Application

Student Dormitory Applications

  • The student dormitory is intended for students who have difficulty commuting and face financial hardship, such as those from outside Tokyo and those with long commuting distances. A financial screening is conducted, and selection is made so that students who require greater financial support may be given priority for admission.
  • Applications are accepted primarily from incoming students, beginning around late December (before the entrance examinations). In principle, eligibility is limited to students within the standard period of study, and the maximum residence period is two years. Applications for current students are planned to be limited to a small number of openings.
  • * Financial circumstances will be reviewed in accordance with the household income criteria for the Japan Student Services Organization’s undergraduate grant-type scholarship. For details, please check the Japan Student Services Organization website.

Student Dormitory Screening
  • Document screening only
  • Commuting time (2 hours or more), financial circumstances, and other factors considered
  • In recent years, the screening ratio has been approximately 2 to 3 times.
